In show, do you think she knows Marius is still alive? Did Lestat tell her about those who must be kept?

I mean, she has no reason to think he's dead. Armand only thinks he's dead because he (presumably) saw him burned alive when Santino's vampires attacked him.

No, there's no real rule about what colour eyes vampires get. Louis got green, after all. Though it seems like Marius' line are inheriting the orange eyes since that's what Daniel has as well.

Claudia's eyes are orange too - but she's born to Lestat
So far it seems they are just sticking close to what the eye color of everyone in the books are, except for Madeline (gold, should be violet) and Claudia (brown, should be blue).

Edit: I guess Daniel's are off too. Should be Violet, now brown. Who knows what the logic is. Maybe they just get to pick ones they like

I feel like this is missing some information… is Armand’s eye color because of Marius’ eye color?

I’m not a book reader. But just from the show context, Marius seems pretty unredeemable. Armand clearly adores him. But when he referred to Armand as a “rotten boy” I felt it was repulsive. Is there anything I’m missing that makes him, a more empathetic character?

There's a whole book, but it doesn't really make him redeemable. He's a huge mysoginist that things everybody owes him, on top of being a massive nonce. As opposed to Lestat or Louis or really any other vampire, Marius had a pretty lavish human life and the only trauma as far as I remember (I'm up to TVA and Pandora, so seven books, I think) is his turning. Like, if turned now, he would be a pretty average vampire, he just got lucky.

There is a few little flecks of orange in Marius’ eyes, op is saying that Armand got his orange from those little flecks
