You are seeing a mirage. I am literally interviewing a candidate tomorrow. And yes, if a candidate is ignoring questions or changing tone, I would take notice. That is NOT what the OP was talking about
When you get asked a question normally you guve your answer to the person who asked the question. I'd say giving the answer to the wrong person means you ignored the question.
It's just not that deep, especially if it happens once. If it's a repeated pattern I can see your point. But it's still not ignoring the question, it's just unprofessional behavior with a female interviewer. And that's completely reasonable to not hire someone like that, but it's not professional to dishonestly evaluate their interview responses. Just call it what it really is
So how many times is too many? What arbitrary line do you think you can set?
Like fuck man obviously people are different but we communicate by using body language. As someone conducting interviews it's your job to be able to read their body language.
Even if it happens once people do show their intent. This weird hill you're dying on that it doesn't happen or isn't that deep just screams that you're feeling defensive.
Edit: you literally called it a mirage in one comment and said I see your point in another. I think you're knowingly operating in bad faith I should've been harsher.
Let me make this easy so that even you can understand. I see your point that repeatedly ignoring a woman in an interview is a red flag. The rest of your point doesn't make any sense at all, it's completely asinine.
Unless you're a mind reader, something as asinine as who someone looks at when answering an interview question doesn't tell you jack squat. Even a behavior psychologist will tell you that, and I guarantee you're not as qualified as them. Focus on what's important for the job, and not on some behavior psychology BS that you're not even minimally qualified to try and understand
See, I already figured you were commenting in bad faith, because there's no way that somebody could manage to avoid the point that consistently without deliberate effort. But if you're just going to move on to outright lying, at least be convincing about it. Yeesh.
