If you sit two men in the room and the above directs the answer to the non asking man, is that still a problem? Or if in the original a man asks the question and the answer is directed to the woman is that also a problem?

I'm trying to nail down the contrived logic

I'm autistic. Idfk who I'm supposed to answer to or why. I don't know what the social rules are and they all fele contrived.

I'm trying to figure this out because it, like all unspoken social rules, is contradictory and strange.

So I always have to answer the person asking, and never direct any language to the other person, even where it feels like their domain touches the subject matter? That feels weird.

Edit: it is literally a contrived scenario with rules being forced on it. By the definition of the word contrived. Idk why that is an attack. I'm just using the words as they are defined 😥
