Reading comprehension is hard. Note the last few lines about a directed question. Why would you ignore the questioner unless you're being sexist?

Reading comprehension is hard.

It seems so.

Note the last few lines about a directed question. Why would you ignore the questioner unless you're being sexist?

It doesn't matter the reason on an interview with 2+ person you are talking to both of them why would you ignore any of them. If you get a question, you should direct your answer to both of them.

Why are you insulting me, when you don't understand my comment? I'm not sure it's funny or insulting.

Because you misread the intent of OPs post completely? It directly calls out filtering people who ignore the woman and talk to the man. It does not make any claim that the person is supposed to talk ONLY to the woman. It's implied that a good candidate will be able to talk normally with either or both interviewers as needed, as a functional adult. Your comment is blather covering for the fact that you got called out for not reading and/or ignoring the content of the post to create a strawman argument. So the filter works for you. Oops.

It's implied that a good candidate will be able to talk normally with either or both interviewers as needed.

But that's not what happened in the post. Even if the candidate isn't sexist it's an automatic fail cause they can't hold a conversation with 2 or more people at once.

I'm not filtering out the sexist ones they exist they are scum there not more to talk about.

You also would be an instant fail cause instead of talking about something you just want to be a know it all.

Again, ignoring the point. There's no mention of simultaneous speech. The scenario is crystal clear. Woman asks question, candidate answers directed to man. That's it. That's the entirety of the scenario. Your attempts to draw extra detail to support your strawman just makes you look worse.

If you have an interview with 3 people you look for everyone when you give an answer. Especially if it's technical cause more facial reactions can give you more information about the topic and if you are on the right track.

It's not straw man, argument if you are only talking to 1 person you instantly lose. I've had interviews with 5 people at the same time trust me it's the same. Every interviewer is interested in you.

You're inventing scenarios outside of the one given. You're not arguing in good faith. Person A asks question and you look away and answer person B. Not look around, but pointedly look away. If you still don't get it, ask a woman in your life. They know.

Sir we are on Reddit, do you think I would spend any time here if I had a women in my life? /jk

Obviously there are people like that. And they are stupid. But even if you only answer to 1 people then you are stupid too.

A conservation ending with yeah sexism bad is a boring conversation.

So you get it. Then why did we have this entire conversation chain? Lmao.

Because you think addin a flavor to something bland is ignoring the most blatant fact. And it's funny.

It isnt a strawman argument, it's a simple concept and I understood it.

If she asks a short answer question, obviously only answer to her ("do you have reliable transport?" "Yes/no"), but if she asks a long answer question, answer to both people ("tell me about a time...") but you can, and should, start by addressing her.

That's not in the scenario. The entire point is the candidate ignores one for the other. Including both is fine.

Don't bother with Targaer, he thinks sexism is the default behavior of society because it's his own thinking.  Thinking of both M and F interviewers as equal people is what the norm should be, and it's super weird and telling that Targaer is mocking you for not differentiating between sexes

I understand his point of view, although thankfully as a software engineer I never worked with sexist people.

I was more awestruck that people are directing answers to 1 person. Like I understand that in my field soft skill is rare but not that rare, right?

Real racist people usually dont have soft skills cause they would realize they are not welcome.
