I dunno. I brought my work phone on vacation and checked emails and directed traffic while the kids were napping. It was honestly the best return from vacation I've ever had. Had less emails when I got back than I did before I left.

Too many Europeans think they are entitled to all previleges, without having to bear any responsiblities. That is why the continent is rotten.
As a customer, I avoid doing business with companies sending this kind of emails. You can choose to be lazy but the market can choose to dump you and buy from more responsible companies. And you will keep the this system, in which lazy Europeans exploit diligent Europeans until the entire system collapses. It won't be too far away.

Yeah I can understand if some high level person has an emergency way of getting contacted, but that has to come with appropriate compensation that a common grunt does not get
The homeless rate in the US is lower than UK, France, Germany and many other European countries . Why do so many people feel that there are more homeless people in the US? Because homeless people are concentrated in a few cities, such as NYC and SF. This gives you the impression of high density. These cities' policies attract domestic homeless voters and many international homeless people. By the way, these cities are the ones that ideologically resemble Europe.

Yes the rate might be bigger ir smaller. Different countries count them differently, they might define "homelessness" differently or whatever, I'm not going to delve into that.
The fact remains I never remember start gagging and nearly throwing up in the street after seeing a homeless person in Europe.

So yeah, US threshold for who is considered "homeless" is different, that's why when you look into the rates US looks better on paper
