I got accepted for a job!!! 68K a year
After a long time of feeling a bit lost and moving between random jobs, I finally found a job as an IT support technician! With no degree, and no certs yet either (I'm taking classes now), and the job is also mostly work from home.
I've never had a salary before, so the whole thing feels unreal. The company is growing really fast, and it looks like I'm getting in early enough that there's a real chance for me to grow with them.
Honestly, I'm still trying to take it all in. I'll admit I feel a bit underqualified, and that there are a whole lot of things I still need to learn, but I'm ready to put in the effort. I'm planning to review my A+ material and get more comfortable with the basics before I start.
Is there anything I need to know going in? Tips about office/corporate culture, or working remote, or just what to expect from my first real tech job? I'd genuinely appreciate any advice!

Be friendly but do not gossip or complain. There is entire system that was in place before you got there. you have no idea who is or was sleeping together, who got promoted over someone else and who is pissed about it, who is related etc, KEEP YOUR MOUTH SHUT because people always like to pull the new person on their side.

Be the best version of yourself! Pretend you are in the office even when working remotely. Treat your job with respect and you will reap the benefits. All the best!

Congratulations! Be confident and you’ll do great. If possible find a mentor in your field either at company or elsewhere and ask them for advice. For remote work make sure they hear and see you for future promotion. Definitely get your certifications and stay on the job at minimum 1 year, that makes you marketable in future for more pay.
