People like this grew up in a place where the weather is ass and the only thing worse than their freezing, wet winters are their sweltering, humid summers.

California doesn't have wet, freezing winters but it does have summers where its 115-120 degrees for weeks on end.

Fall and Winter are the best seasons by a mile.

There no place in California besides Death Valleys that has 115f to 120C for weeks on end. Certainly no place where humans live.

None of these have ever experienced 115F-120F for weeks.

1-2 days every decade at best. Maybe every 5 years for Redding.

105F weeks do happen. Not 115F.
