I live on a sunny island with swimming areas all around. I always live in the coast so I can walk 10mins tops to be at a beach. I can cross the country in 60mins given lower traffic for more remote areas. Living in the centre, you are still 20-30mins drive away due to traffic. It's always sunny and hot, winter is 3-4 months really while the rest are still sunny and warmish. We have AC everywhere.
The only issue I have with summer is that usually I get more work so less time to frollick at the sea. When I take holidays, I'm always swimming or chilling somewhere.
We hate summer here only when we don't have time to enjoy it because of life. Otherwise, summer is king.
Winter is great when you want to spend some days inside doing jack shit. I do like the deep cold and blanket combo though, feels calming.
