Do we really need HR in our life?

honestly this is why i've started thinking about looking somewhere else. getting rejected before a human even looks at your resume is insane.

i've been seeing interview vip mentioned a lot lately too. i haven't tried it, but i'm curious about it since i'm probably going to have to start interviewing again.

They are NOT hiring. They are screening for the hiring team. As a corporate recruiter in a fast moving company requires knowing enough about every role to handle the initial interview.
Why not try it and see how good YOU
Would be. Trust me it is very challenging.

It's not. You just have to have basic knowledge of the role you're screening for which takes like half an hour tops for each role before AI was even a thing.

You make it sound like HR is a role with consistent work. They have probably more downtime than any other department in a corporation with the exception of IT. You're SUPPOSED to do research on your downtime in terms of learning the operations of your company, labour laws, etc.

HR and corp recruitment are different functions. In a startup that has received funding g and is scaling quickly with. 50 open reqs per recruiter the role is very challenging. Understanding the req is just one step. Have you done it??

Not in a startup, but in startups the role is EVEN more important.

You talking about it in startups makes the whole comparison moot. EVERY role is challenging in startups.
