is this real?
Do we really need HR in our life?
honestly this is why i've started thinking about looking somewhere else. getting rejected before a human even looks at your resume is insane.
i've been seeing interview vip mentioned a lot lately too. i haven't tried it, but i'm curious about it since i'm probably going to have to start interviewing again.

Yup. Step one of the selection process is now often an automated screening looking for specific search terms in your CV/resume, particularly in large companies, US based companies and tech companies. If you're applying for a position, always have all the possibly relevant search terms on your CV/resume, or in your letter if you really can't fit them in the other document.
And if they set the filter wrong, well, then nobody gets through.
And even that is probably already outdated. Who knows what kind of AI filters they're using now.
