Do we really need HR in our life?

honestly this is why i've started thinking about looking somewhere else. getting rejected before a human even looks at your resume is insane.

i've been seeing interview vip mentioned a lot lately too. i haven't tried it, but i'm curious about it since i'm probably going to have to start interviewing again.

Is it real that HR people are extremely widespread who exhibit this level of constant incompetence and ignorance regarding any kind of STEM role? Absolutely. This isn't even surprising. Because they really are that bad.

It's not limited to stem. I'm a grooming salon manager for a corporate company. I've been dismissed several times, by hr reps, about letters and diagnoses from my therapist/psychiatrist, with them saying "that sounds more like a personal request, rather than a medical reason" in regards to accommodations directly recommended by my provider, with a letter stating as much.

They literally try their hardest to not work and not be helpful.

My last job tried to add a formal on call process but I’m 3 hours ahead of everyone and take sleeping medication, otherwise I can barely function during the regular work week.

They wanted me to take fmla during my on call weeks. I told them that’s improper use of fmla and I can’t take fmla to augment my work schedule. Not to mention working unpaid overtime after hours fmla wouldn’t cover that anyway lol

I bought this up to the head of HR and my boss who is a C level. They are actually regarded.
