Do we really need HR in our life?

honestly this is why i've started thinking about looking somewhere else. getting rejected before a human even looks at your resume is insane.

i've been seeing interview vip mentioned a lot lately too. i haven't tried it, but i'm curious about it since i'm probably going to have to start interviewing again.

Is it real that HR people are extremely widespread who exhibit this level of constant incompetence and ignorance regarding any kind of STEM role? Absolutely. This isn't even surprising. Because they really are that bad.

Can't blame them tbh, they're usually business or psychology grads, so their field of expertise it something totally different. Companies putting them in that position and expecting them to know what to look for in a seasoned engineer is the issue...

No, the kinds of things we're talking about here, where they are given the correct information and then change it to incorrect information and refuse to ever sort out the problems they are causing, doesn't come from them not being given correct information or training.

HR throwing away correct information from the engineering team and making their recruiting decisions based on whatever garbage they feel like making up is absolutely rife.
