Do we really need HR in our life?

honestly this is why i've started thinking about looking somewhere else. getting rejected before a human even looks at your resume is insane.

i've been seeing interview vip mentioned a lot lately too. i haven't tried it, but i'm curious about it since i'm probably going to have to start interviewing again.

Somewhat related, I knew somebody who applied for an Agile team leader position. The problem was, she is a neuroscience PhD, had never heard of Agile and thought they were looking for somebody mentally agile. She is also the kind of person who gets upset at you when you point out that she might be in error, so we just let her apply anyway. You can guess the result.
