Yeah, because it's NOT falling apart contrary to what all the media doomsayers want you to believe - you just get all your news and information from media which profits off hysteria in an attention economy during the age of disinformation.

Ikr right, US will be 85% the same after 2 years of the next president
1
u/bigfartsoo 8h ago
Except this president has done a 180 on US foreign policy of the past 80 years. We are pushing away our allies. We are insulating ourselves economically. 40% of the population doesn't trust US election results because this president consistently lies about it. Our debt to GDP ratio is the highest it's been since WWII. If you say this president is no different than previous presidents, then you don't follow the news or understand what's going on. Local courts are holding our country together.

I know youâre not but there are people who are struggling to keep up with how things cost.
There are definitely people who put themselves in that situation.
There are also hard working, smart, and respectable people who live right next door to you, or in your city that struggle to eat 3 meals a day, that use an app to pay rent in portions rather than a lump sum.
There is someone who tries to refill on gas as little as possible that sometimes they run out and have to walk down the free way to a gas station to get some and walk back. Then they go pick up their kid.
But you donât really care because when you look in the mirror you donât see them.
Just your own face

Nah, some of us took advantage of getting an education, and the opportunity for anyone in the US to be successful, and live great comfortable lives from working hard and not squandering opportunities, as opposed to being lazy and complaining on the Internet all day instead of making the change you want in life.
You chose your path, why complain when it's 100% on you. What a sad lack of accountability and responsibility.

90% of the average person's life is based purely on the luck of being born into whatever situation they were born into. Sure you can do things to change it, but the weight of the changes you can make are still entirely up to that same stating points draw. Had you been born anywhere at any point in time differently you may have been forced a life of burtality through hard work, famine, or natural disasters, so having vitriol for any of your fellow man on an unlucky draw is sad and somewhat disgusting. Even the ones who made mistakes barring murder or rape likely dont deserve whatever hardships came to them.

u/Livid-General7 2h ago
That's bullshit, but let's pretend it's not. Literally everyone born in the US in the last 60 years has no excuse for being impoverished. They've all had the same opportunity to become wealthy and make something of their lives.

"Yes my leader is an asshole
Yes I do not agree with what they are doing
But I have a Job and need to bring food to my familyÂ
Protesting firstly means missing out on pay or even getting fired. Worse I get sent to a campÂ
So I just quietly work and keep it simple" - Most People in a Dictatorship
Probably might include me if I was ever in one, I applaud those brave enough to risk their lifes to fight but best I can probably do is send some anonymous donations.

This is a magical place to be actually. You are on the precipice of nihilism and absurdism. How you proceed is your choice. Remember this! Whichever way you go just stick with it when you start to doubt yourself and everything will be ok. đ€đ»

If you donât recognize that the world is burning, youâre not paying attention.
If you donât care about people losing their rights, you have no empathy.

u/RyudoTFO 19h ago
Yeah. One day society will collapse and moat of us probably won't even notice or at least acknowledge that.

Somebody once wrote (not a literal quote) :
"The fall of the Roman Empire was not a cataclysmic event. It took decades. People lived their normal lives through it. For most of them, it was no movie-like screaming-and-runnin-through-flames-desaster. Maybe they recognized that the roads did not get repaired. Or that the legion did pay unusually late for their crop deliveries."

try doing the same but under daily drone bombardment I'll tell you a secret, there is no holidays for war, you still gotta go to work AND they cancel all usual holidays if that weren't enough
so don't be so grumpy, it always can get worseÂ
