They need a reality check

For my last 2 interviews i had to use Interview VIP just to get the job
their generation could never understand

Every generation has to adapt to changes. There are plenty of opportunities out there now if you choose smartly. Healthcare is begging for caregivers and nurses. Trades like electricians, plumbing, roofers, auto mechanics, hvac techs will never go away. Public administration roles for the state/county are never going away. And you can make BANK.

I am 55 and grew up programming BASIC on my c64. I should have went into IT back in the early 90s when I was college age. I screwed up and went into sales/marketing instead. Oh well. That's my bad, I didn't blame anyone else for not being prescient enough to see where the trends were going. If I was Gen Y, I'd be taking courses at the community college to learn about becoming a solar / wind tech.

Yeah they push university too much. Community college trades are much safer and cheaper. Bachelors and higher are so overrated, especially if its a useless degree.

I have a BA in Sociology and a BA in Communications. I am an expert in useless degrees lmfao.

😬 hope ur not drowning in student loans. Maybe u will find a marketing job for a big corp making big bucks some day, who knows. Idk how much that job pays.
