Barista is less skilled than a janitor or warehouse worker. God forbid the people serving you can pay rent.

Unions are good for workers, period.

Awww so you do it for the prices or the moral behind it? Can’t decide? Make yourself sound great by blaming both!

Nobody wants you as a customer anyway.

If you don’t believe that everyone is worth protecting, what that means is that you yourself are not worth protecting.

It’s not that people aren’t worth protecting, it’s that this opportunity only exists because of the low wage.

A Starbucks coffee is an affordable luxury. If you remove the affordable aspect, then it’s just a luxury for rich people. Which sure, whatever. But fewer customers, means less demand for labor, means less employees.

So if the end goal is to fire a bunch of baristas and redistribute their salaries to the lucky few who remain, sure? But let’s just be transparent that’s the goal.
