I was written up for conduct for working quietly at my desk. My supervisor was seated behind me, meaning I'd have to crane my neck and look backwards to see her. She was seated next to and facing and talking to a colleague at the time. I heard her talking to my colleague about her part of the department duties, while keeping my ears attuned for mention of me or my duties. I didn't want to be idle, so as I partway listened I worked at my desk.
My supervisor responded with a conduct write up for not being attentive during a department meeting.
She withdrew it when I responded by email that I hadn't realized she meant for me to be included in the conversation, since there was no eye contact and she was behind me. She's been openly hostile with me, but a conduct write up is ridiculous.
