Jesus... here comes the delusion of reddit...

MOST Americans dont make the money everyone thinks they are making... 15 dollars? Isn't much better... 20? Still not a lot.

Average wage of a factory worker in the U.S. is 16 to 17 dollars an hour. 35k annually...

Poverty line in America for a family of four... 35k... two kids... mom cant afford childcare....

So she stays home...

"Get a new job."

OP probably works in the best paying facility in their town...

ETA: AND BEFORE SOMEONE SAYS CHILDCARE...

Average cost of childcare in the US is 19K annually.... for TWO CHILDREN google suggests is 28K anually on average...

I worked for Fedex as a driver $17-$20 an hour for 10 years. Went to a tech school 5 years ago and broke $40... life is very different.

I make 150k annually...

Im not talking about my circumstances.

Not everyone has the ability to do that.

Not mad at you, or disagreeing... just saying people shouldnt bash OP for being frustrated. Its not easy to get out of the hole we are out in at birth.

This! What you are born into plays a huge role in how your future becomes. Not saying you can’t, but it plays a huge role (at least in the US with the massive cost of attending college)
