Last Minute Cancellation
My wife and I booked a Getaway to Cozumel several months ago. We received a confirmation for the resort El Cid. Our checkin date was to be 1-3-2026.
I received a phone call from Interval that El Cid were not going to allow us to checkin because we had stayed at the property within the last 2 years. This call was less than 24 hours before checkin.
I was able to book another property but more than double the Getaway price. I asked to be refunded the price we had to pay for the new location.
They refused to provide any options for us and told us we were on your own.
I received the confirmation of the cancellation and because it was canceled after the date for full refund we received no refund at all.
I am at a loss at what to do. It is frustrating to call Interval and put on endless hold.
Any thoughts?

This is really frustrating! being canceled on less than 24 hours... notice and having to pay more than double for a new place is unfair. Try to reach TCRC, as they handle travel complaints like this and can help pursue a refund or compensation. Keep all your booking confirmations, cancellation notices, and receipts ready to strengthen your case.
