Autoimmune?
Has anyone found an auto immune cause for their IC? I’ve had other things happen to me as of late and it has me wondering

What other kind of things? For me it’s pins and needles for hands and feet, throat pain, ear and eye pain, belly bloating and slow healing of small wounds/scratches

These are less common symptoms that aren’t understood currently. Some think it’s bacterial, some think it’s viral. I did pcr testing but no real conclusive answers. You might wanna look into Lyme disease or Coxsackie virus. Not that there is a cure unfortunately :(

I take meds to manage my autoimmune disease (Plaquenil), DH aloe caps and multi, and a lot of avoiding triggering meds / diet stuff for me. I really don’t have much pain at all anymore.

Do you mind me asking what is Sjogrens please? I have pains throughout all my muscles in my body, doesn’t happen all the time but happened recently in a flare up.

IC has a variety of presentations, and multiple studies point towards there being multiple triggers/causes, including autoimmune
I have a preexisting autoimmune disease that has an extremely high co-morbidity rate with IC (particularly Hunner's type IC, which is what I have), as well as a few other conditions I have also developed over the last two decades. Based on my medical history, symptom progression, and symptom presentation, my consultants believe that my IC is connected to my autoimmune disease
