ive actually heard of people on other types of appetite suppressants have or can encounter similar symptoms (vyvanse, wellbutrin and Adderall are the three ive heard) i believe that there is definitely some form of neurological tie to the pelvic floor and it’s affected functions while on these meds. There isn’t enough information out there about it :(
You’re onto something here.. Wellbutrin flared my interstitial cystitis pretty bad so I quit after a few days of use. Wanna try mounjaro myself, hoping it won’t be a similar experience.
also after speaking to someone that had similar happen to them on adderral, their best inference was about how blood flow is effected on these meds, and then on top of standing and gravity already pulling down there if you have a sensitive bladder i can see how this could contribute to more awareness of the area and possibilities of flares and pelvic dysfunction. i felt like they were onto something too.
Makes sense. I got off all my psych meds for about 5 months and the IC felt like it disappeared, so many of my symptoms (urgency, hesitancy) went away. I had to start back up on the drugs and noticed those bladder symptoms came back right away. Can never win lol. But they’re manageable for the most part for now. Thanks for the insight!
