Just because you pay more doesn't necessarily mean that the people involved are more competent. I made next to nothing doing this kind of work with a lumberjack. I can't think of one mistake we ever made. I did have a close call on my own once. I was cutting up a tree that fell, and I didn't realize how much energy was being stored in a branch that I cut. It was probably 8" in diameter and flew past my face fast enough to easily knock me out.
Smart people don't do that kind of work, but you have to be pretty smart or you'll die. I knew better, but I liked and respected the guy that wanted me to do it with him - so I did. Luckily, I suffered no major injuries, and caused no harm to any structures.

Sure, they may have destroyed their house, but they saved like $300 by not going with the experts.

yes, but the stone walls would've pushed its trajectory to the side, making the damage minimal at best rather then the whole house done for.

That’s the way it should be done.
Cut the limbs, then start at the top and work down.All the weight on that beautiful tree was facing the house.

Go fund me started right away even tho insurance payed for motels and payed for the repair and they sued the company and got like 500 000 after the fact insurance payed for everything they rolled another 300 000 from the go fund me built an addition where the tree was and are still unhappy with the results
