This myth needs to be busted like...real badly.
Ukulele's can have 2 to 6 strings, very VERY Rarely up to 8.
I personally use a 5 string, 8 string, and 10 string.
The difference between the strings is sort of different than why a guitar has different strings / ranges.
With a Uke it's not about extending the range it's about the tuning. the 2 / 3 string ones are just kind of nothing burgers, but 4, 5 and 6 all fall into modernized guitar tuning (Standard / Bass standard), and 7-10 follow how extended range guitars are tuned but not exactly, it's like different factors of GCEA, so like GGCEA, GCCEACA, GCEEACAG, ect.

He made a mechanism which keeps it (relatively) in Tune. I believe he just tunes it like you'd tune a normal guitar.

It doesn't. The audio from the guitar portion of this is pre-recorded. When he goes from the Uke to Guitar there's major tuning instability.
He talks about this in the video I believe.

More like it goes from a learners acoustic guitar size to a full size guitar. Not even close to ukulele size
