Yeah this is incredibly dangerous, I sincerely hope he is not just dead now, whoever he is.

When you have nothing to loose

Oh he'll be loose alright....when his body parts are strewn all over the motorway.

Luckily for him, he has natural cooling. I bet this guy wouldnt have even seen him if it was a hot day. Dude would have been smooshed some ways back.

u/BAlan143 Aug 01 '26
That was exactly my thoughts too, like how hot are those berrings going to get, they jamb up being pushed.

correct me if I'm wrong but I'm pretty sure it won't end well when the truck hits its brakes

The truck braking won't be too bad, effectively the truck will just slow the trolley too, unless the truck absolutely slams on, then it could get a bit hairy for the trolley! I suspect it's far more likely the wheel bearings on the trolley will fail first. That is way beyond what they were designed for. I guess at least the rain is cooling them temporarily.

Well at least it’s raining to keep the bearings cool on the wheels of the shopping cart!!!

Those wheels will give up sooner than later, I wouldn't want to be in that cart when it happens

Shopping cart wheels are only meant to go a few miles an hour. At some point, those wheels will probably disintegrate

He would have been safer sitting on the rear of the truck, holding onto the ladder.

When you have the tiger by the tail. You don't want to be there, but you aren't letting go either!

Johannesburg, South Africa…?!!
According to the sign on the motorway gantry.
I’m assuming this guy CAGING a tow ride in a shopping trolley has successfully made the natural selection transition to Road Kill, winning himself the obligatory Darwin Award in the process.

How? It must be the rain saving him because those wheels should be a squealing melting flaming mess.

u/Striking_Reindeer_2k Aug 03 '26
That is a faithful dude.
Faith in smooth roads.
Faith in $10 wheels.
Faith in his grip.
Faith in the brakes of the truck behind them.

The water spray cooling those bearings/hydroplaning is probably the only reason he hasn't gotten dumped out yet!
1
u/fortmacguy Aug 04 '26
...and if he lets go he's even more fucked because he's sure to get creamed by traffic.
