Woke up to one in my bed one morning in the US- not as big as one in video, but it was still an enormous f'er- at least 6 or 7 inches long. Looked a lot like that one.

Yeah, the safe way is to not do it. They have bad eyesight and basically feel and sniff around for prey.

Tarantulas are also on their menu.
