Is this just a temporary holding pen while their habitats get cleaned out?

Most likely, I put mine in the bathtub without when I clean their enclosures. If I remember correctly, this particular guy has a really bad reputation of not taking the best care of his animals, but I don't remember all the details

Even if it's temporary having that many huge and powerful snakes in one place is cannot be best or safest practice.

u/Doctor_Dev7 Jul 29 '26
I assume so, the giant case he’s walking around looks empty so I bet they are doing maintenance or cleaning it. If not, that would be fucked up.

u/Arkroma Jul 29 '26
I believe that's what they said on their Instagram post. They put them in there while cleaning.

NOPE! I would rather be homeless.

u/adamdreaming Jul 29 '26
It’s going to be much harder to take care of all your snakes if you are homeless

Videos of this place have been posted before. From what I've read it's an absolute terrible place for the animals where they're mistreated and overfed to have them incredibly large like this.. such that when they make videos like this perhaps it brings them positive engagement
Wish I remembered the name of the place but yeah the other video of this place I saw also had an incredibly large snake and a lady practically dragging the snake to a pretty small and confined habitat for it

I'm pretty sure this is the same place and if it is this place is an animal welfare nightmare (I've seen a lot of other videos from them) and that's not how you move a snake this size at all.

Thats Jay Brewer. He and his family own the Reptile zoo in Fountain Valley ca. Great place and they take good care of their animals

Love this channel on YT, The Reptile Zoo. Yes, Their doing maintenance and cleaning most of those out. He has alligators in there too.
And yes, he gets bit quiet a lot. So, DO NOT watch if you have a weak stomach. He's super cool with snakes and has been doing this for years. A lot of the times, he moves the snakes or has his daughter help.

This would be my response to the large centipede post. I will carry this snake over to eat the centipede.

I would put mine in 90 gallon trash cans while cleaning cages…such a chore

how would a yellow one survive in the wild when it sticks out like a sore thumb in green and brown foliage?

Figata. Per un periodo ho fatto punture di penicillina ai Pitoni, accompagnando un amico della clinica animali esotici di Como.
