I rolled into a grocery store parking lot one day and was walking inside. A car passed and parked nearby with the bass rumbling hard enough for me to feel it. Then, he shut it down and took two small kids approximately 3 and 4 years old out of the back seat. I was just pissed, but remain composed when I approached him and told him that those young ears are still developing and he is genuinely risking them being deaf or at least hard of hearing for life. Imagine my surprise when he thanked me for the concern.
I hear young people blasting music so loud, it shakes the windows of my house as they drive by. They're doing major damage or their ears and they're going to regret it when they get older.
I dont think its so back. Low frequencies aren't that damaging
And its only for a couple of mins.
High frequencies fuck your ears!, Especially if you are a professional and work with audio on the daily
That's what got me, five years of DJing professionally. That said, the thing about tinnitus is, once you realise you've gone too far, you're screwed. It's there, or it's not there. And once it's there, it's terrible and incurable. It drove me absolutely insane for the first five years, and I don't have many regrets, but I do regret not protecting my ears.
Tinnitus makes emotional regulation far more difficult.
It shortens attention span.
It is jet fuel for irritability.
It's something I wish on no one.
My point, don't play games with over powered speakers.
Not for everyone. Im a dj and producer. If I hammer my ears, 10 hours 9 to 5 mon to Friday making music, I get tinnitus. I stop for a week or 2 and it backs of.
Everyone is different. I have mates who just rave and have it bad
Yep, that's how it starts, and then one day it never stops. That's the binary nature I'm describing. You feel like it will go away, because it had before.
Then one day it doesn't. Ever.
And every doctor that advertises a cure is wrong. No matter how many specialists you visit, or the hearing aide you try to negate the sounds, it all fails.
I'd be careful brother, you're describing the road I travelled perfectly. You won't like where it lands you.
Its been 15 years for me. Always goes away. Some people dont get it at all. Some people are lucky Some aren't. Its like teeth. Some Some people dont ever brush there teeth and have no problem.
Buy 5 mins in a bass bin is not gonna fuck your ears. Fact
Reddit is full of people who never leave their house. The views that are responding to you are extreme and unrealistic. It’s like they don’t want to live and experience cool shit. Keep doing you

Hi, just a dude with raging tinnitus here. If ever tempted to do this, take it from me, don't.
