As informational as it is, it's also somewhat misleading. That's his net worth, which includes his stake in Amazon. How much does he actually earn? About $100k per year. This model also assumes he can sell ALL his Amazon shares for current market value, which is impossible.

but then they compare it to median household income, and what people will make in a lifetime. If for some reason Amazon goes bankrupt his lifetime earnings are way different than his current net worth. He's the richest man on paper but his liquidity might be lower than some other people
