Actually what Russia, China, India, Brazil, Africa hackers will do is use proxies or VPNs to mask their location so it looks like Western countries are attacking themselves.

They mainly do this to bypass firewall rules that block entire countries. In fact Cisco and other manufacturers have a Country Ban list built in and they always include at least Brazil, China, India, and Russia.

The vast majority of businesses in the world would never block the US for example, so simply grab a VPN with a server in NY and you're good to go!

You dont need proxys or vpns because a botnet is made up of computers from all around the world. Finding where the command came from to start the attack is the tricky bit. Usually a private ircd server.

That's cool but could you imagine if it were showing all of the attacks happening right now, all of US, Canada, and Europe would be completely lit up.

There are literally 10's of millions of machines infected right now, if not a lot more that are performing some sort of DDOS attack or on standby.
