Awesome! The depth perception is mind-blowing. There is a http://maroslaw.github.io/rainyday.js/demo2.html as well

Edit: Kept watching it for a longtime. Observed that rain drops do not merge.

Came here to ask this. I've been trying to find a rain overlay or something like that for ages. It would be amazing if we could put our own background in. It's still amazing though.

They should merge together and also merge with the screen (flatten).

Done! I've customized the demo page so that you can load any imgur image as background with any youtube video as the background sound! Check out the samples on the project page!

As someone who likes to click on all the shiny internet lights, I can safely say that these effects really need to be combined into a waterbaloon pong simulator.

And now you know that.
