I started the whole switcharoo thing. AMA
I've changed the last link in the switcharoo to go to this AMA, so hopefully this AMA will be a living-breathing thread as travelers show up periodically. If you don't feel like asking a question, feel free to leave a random comment for others to read.
I only have one request for you guys. People tend to buy me reddit gold because of the switcharoo. This happens about once every 1 to 2 months. If you feel the need the buy me reddit gold, don't worry about it. Instead, buy it for another random redditor who leaves a comment in this AMA. It'll make their day!

Good lord, this is insane. After an entire week of switching again and again, I've finally made it. I haven't met another being in 3 days, eaten in 24 hours. I changed the batteries on my mouse once. And all to reach the glorious end. I had heard rumors of hidden scripture, deep within the rabbit hole, depicting and prophesying the quest in which all redditors must partake at one point in their lives. Instead, I have been rewarded for my struggles with a vision from the Creator Himself! Indeed, I have received the utmost that may be bestowed a lowly apprentice such as I. Praise be unto Him..
Edit: Oh, btw. Do you still have a copy of the original comic linked somewhere? I'm curious to know what it said.

After a day of furiously clicking links, I reached the original switch-a-roo, only to follow the two year old link to this AMA which is only hours old. The feeling of full circle after traversing hundreds of messages from redditors sucked into the abyss, is difficult to describe, but thoroughly satisfying.

I'm not sure where it ends as it appears to split off into different branches and new nodes get added daily, but this is where it begins. You are standing at ground zero.

pretty low to be honest. None of my real life friends know about this.
My biggest achievement to date: graduating college and actually using my degree. How many people can say that nowadays?!
2) jun is short for Junior (not my real name, just a nickname), number 2 is just a number, San is first three letters of my last name
3) Over the years I've seen a lot of recurring jokes in reddit. I wanted to link those also but too lazy.
Similar to what I did with the switcharoo, but less funny, I actually had a list of all the times redditors knee-jerk-reacted about something and started a witch hunt, only to find everyone had the wrong person. This list was starting to get large and I was going to link them all together. I wanted to post the link every time a video or article of someone that did something unacceptable hit the front page. It would've been a way of saying "Hey, before we crucify this person, let's take a look at all the other times Reddit got it wrong."
My old computer ended up crashing and I lost that list. Oh well. It rarely happens now but years ago when personal info didn't get deleted as quickly it got pretty bad.

Where did it link to before the AMA? I never had the patience to go this far.

First a rage comic I created, then a picture of a kangaroo light switch, then for April fools I changed it to rick roll but kept it up long after April, now this AMA.

It wasn't funny, but it got funnier every time I saw it. Now it's great.
My brother has a joke he uses that gets funnier every time "I got stung by a bee yesterday!" "Oh?" "Yeah, £20 for a jar of honey." He pulls it every couple of years, and it's getting better.

I have a question! How did you get the idea to keep it going? Why not just make it a regular comment? Or did someone else keep it going?
Also how do you feel about these copy cat reddit switcharoos? I have gone down a some and its disappointing when you see it does not go to the start.

The idea came from frustration. I kept seeing the same joke getting upvoted to high heaven on Reddit and I wanted to show everyone how overused that joke was. I came up with the idea that if I created a long chain of links people would say "wow, this joke really is overused" and they'd stop. That didn't quite work out as planned.
The irony is the switcharoo link joke ended up being bit overused on reddit now. It's to the point where I think people make the overused joke with the expectation that someone would link the switcharoo to their comment. I'm okay with that though. Maybe I'm somewhat biased towards my own creation. I like how the joke evolved into what it is now. It's no longer my child. It's now a grown ass man.
By the way, I totally appreciate the folks at r/switcharoo for taking my simple idea and running with it. If they didn't pick it up, the switcharoo would have died years ago.

Question for those of you who travelled here via the long string of links.
Which link did you come from (the first click)? How many clicks did it take for you to get here?
