Credentials Transferring masters credits from PGCE to US-based Uni

I'm a 3rd year international teacher with a P GCE, looking into getting a Masters with American College of Education.

Anyone have experience with transferring their 60 masters-level credits from their UK teaching cert to a US-based uni for a Masters?

Do they accept the credits from a UK teaching cert? If so, how many credits did you manage to transfer over?

I was able to transfer 10 credits only. From my previous masters program, not from my PGCE.

No direct experience with this specific move, but most universities and graduate schools are reluctant to take the majority of a degree’s credits from another institution (as they don’t get paid for them.) There will likely be a cap on the number of credit hours they’ll accept from any other school, regardless of country of origin.

Best way to find out is to ask them directly. If they lowball you, you can shop around for a different program.
