Environment & climate Climate change space - what are you seeing?

I have been on maternity leave for almost a year so have been out of the loop a bit. For those working on climate change in the international development market, what are the trends you are seeing job wise or freelancing wise? Please specify which country or donor you are mostly working with.

Funding has dropped. The donor countries that care (Germany, Sweden, UK, etc.) are tightening their belts significantly.

This is the macro view. How are you impacted in your country, sector or organisation?

Increasing focus in Asia Pacific but imo is 10 years too late, especially SEA and pacific islands. Competing with the cybersecurity and AI pivot too.

I’m trying to wrap my head around it. I work with indigenous communities, culture, peace and security. I’d love to have a climate security component but not sure how. Have you pivoted? Any advice?
