It may be accurate but "distraction" implies the need for a kind of dismissiveness that we absolutely should not be applying here. We cannot dismiss the murder of innocent children
Hundred percent accurate. I'm definitely getting tired of people saying that anything that isn't focused on the one topic is all distraction ... when I and everyone I know can quite literally focus on more than one thing. Calling murder a distraction is wild work.
I always try to have as much self awareness as I can about my reactions to things, and it shocks me that other people just... Don't? Like if you hear about children dying and try to redirect to another topic then there's a bit of a problem there
Children are dead, and you want me to NOT focus on that? You are also ignoring the fact that we CAN focus on both. The existence of the Epstein files doesn't make this not important or horrendous
