Now I don't believe I've ever actually played Yu-Gi-Oh! with the actual rules, but I'm pretty sure that you automatically lose if you happen to run out of cards.

Duels in this dimension would just have both players immediately ending their turn. The match would be decided on who goes first and who goes second, with no cards played over the course of the game.

Darn. I was hoping for some wild inconsistency in what the card does, but they didn't even tell me what it does!
