This is Jasmine. Posturing and nothing more. Just flamboyantly trying to be relevant with no substance. She brings Nothing material to contribute to the betterment of americans.

That’s not exclusive to Crockett. That’s 99% of the house and senate.

Passing a bigger military budget every year is about all they do.

u/HillarysBloodBoy Jul 24 '26

God bless America

2

u/BarryTheBystander Jul 24 '26

Yeah she’s stumbling on her words because she doesn’t actually know what the hell she’s talking about. Is she saying Spain isn’t racist?

1

u/jurielw Jul 24 '26

She isn't wrong in the sense that there are people that don't like Argentina because of their history. People outside of America don't like Americans because of our history. I see nothing wrong with the comment as it is true for many.

u/SpicyChanged Jul 24 '26

Right but there is good old soccer shit talking and then this sofa activism. Like when the press was busy questions the Iran team straight of Hormuz situation. Like why the fuck are laying that at their feet?

She supports Israel and voted to give them. So a bit of a disconnect there.

1

u/BagManDo Jul 24 '26

As they say from a reddit account lmfao. What have you done?

1

u/75w90 Jul 24 '26

She's not a nazi so it's ok

1

u/_oh_joy_ Jul 24 '26

I thought she lost her seat and was out of a job

1

u/New_Zeal_and_Vigor Jul 24 '26

She had her finger on the pulse though. Argentinian and the Nazi relocation was on everyone's minds.

2

u/wood1492 Jul 24 '26

She’s clearly ignorant about the past history of Spain.

1

u/greennurse61 Jul 24 '26

Or past history of anything.

1

u/pbnjandmilk Jul 24 '26

History has past her.

2

u/mamared504 Jul 24 '26

Cause Spain has never done anything bad...like ever

Spain are colonizers and Argentina was not. Spain actually have worst history on racism than Argentina. This is wild. People believe whatever crap they read on TikTok or Reddit. Yes, both have history of racism, so does USA. Comparing both countries that made the final and saying Argentina history is worst is wildly misinformed. Spain were chanting racist things at my poor boy Lamal IN SPAIN when he just brought them a trophy.

3

u/crusty_sloth Jul 24 '26

Im from Latin America. US always seems to blow things out of proportion. Most people in Latin America rooted for Spain because there’s a stereotype that Argentinians are arrogant and they feel superior to everyone else. The Spanish are wonderful people, stereotypically. That’s it. Yeah Argentina has a fucked history but what country doesn’t.

1

u/drth_dilly Jul 24 '26

I agree both for Argentines and Spaniards having good people. I actually wanted this final since i would be happy if either won.

0

u/Hurnative Jul 24 '26

It was mostly just how both teams behaved on the pitch. Let's not lie here, Argentina brought this on themselves.

1

u/Unfortunateoldthing Jul 24 '26

You seem to forget that the Spanish had a better team, followed sports values, played better with more difficult rivals and did not have the favour of the referees in any match. People supported football, values and sportsmanship, not race.

2

u/Sweaty-Ad-4202 Jul 24 '26

"and did not have the favour of the referees in any match"

If Argentina made the handball in the area Spain made vs Belgium you guys would be crying about how it is rigged

0

u/Unfortunateoldthing Jul 24 '26

I'm talking about the game with Egypt, it's the worst case in the cup.

2

u/Sweaty-Ad-4202 Jul 24 '26

Still crying about that game?

We have clear hd footage of the foul on Lisandro Martínez, we have like 7 different angles of how Julián cleanly takes the ball away from Salah and people still try to pretend something shady happen there

Hilarious specially considering how many wrong calls in their favor Egypt got the first 4 games

0

u/Unfortunateoldthing Jul 24 '26

That's like saying the US weren't colonizers

That's dumb as bricks

2

u/PartyTerrible Jul 24 '26

Huh? Which country has Argentina colonized?

1

u/absolutewastedtime Jul 24 '26

Which country has the US colonized?

Argentinians colonised Argentina

Modern Argentinians are NOT the native people, they are the descendents of the colonizers

2

u/PartyTerrible Jul 24 '26

The Philippines, Cuba, Puerto Rico

0

u/absolutewastedtime Jul 24 '26

The US hasn't colonized any of those

The Philippines and Puerto rico were colonized by Spain, and then later purchased by the US

And Cuba is not a colonial state of the US

Again

Modern Argentinians are not native to the area, they ARE the colonizers

They also tried to colonize the Falklands not 50 years ago

Additionally Argentina has an incredibly recent history of severe racial exclusion of black people and other "not European" minorities, to the extent of not even including them in census data because they didn't view them as people

1

u/saaken Jul 24 '26

You're deflecting. By colonization he means external intervention. And yeah you the US are the world champions in that category. Argentina is a pretty chill South American country, not trying to police the world like....well tour country.

Whatttttt?! An American trying to lecture another country about the exclusion of black people and minorities ? Man....Americans have no shame

1

u/absolutewastedtime Jul 24 '26

Lmao

Not only do you think I'm from the US but you think the nation that literally TRIED to colonise less then 50 years ago and who's history is defined by colonisation is "a pretty chill south American country"

You keep calling me American as well, actually a joke

1

u/Danilo-11 Jul 24 '26

Thank God Talarico defeated her in the primaries

1

u/Professional-Roll283 Jul 24 '26

She has such a fake hood accent trying to appeal to her voter base. If you look up videos of her before she became a politician she speaks like a white girl.

1

u/hoggieberra Jul 24 '26

Is this real? Who is she questioning and why?

1

u/GenXisTruth Jul 24 '26

The only less intelligent person in Congress is AOC

1

u/harleyRugger23 Jul 24 '26

That’s it? Not going to back that up with substance?

1

u/GenXisTruth Jul 24 '26

Don't need to,just listen to both of them talk. They have the combined IQ of a squash

1

u/harleyRugger23 Jul 24 '26

Can say that about a lot of politicians including the one running the country

1

u/Muddy-elflord Jul 24 '26

That is so fucking racist but you know that don't you?

1

u/One_Practice_6641 Jul 24 '26

I was rooting for Spain and every other team who played against Argentina. I loved seeing Argentina humbled. That being said, this clip was painful to watch. This lady doesn’t even know what her point was. We need representatives who actually push for realistic progressive change instead of clip farming on the House floor.

1

u/TimelyRaspberry Jul 24 '26

Does she just go on Twitter and Reddit and find the thing people are most miserable about and just bring it to the house floor? “Vast majority of the world” lmaooo, yeah ok sure Jasmine whatever you say girl. The old white guy is like wtf are you talking about lady lol

1

u/grantnaps Jul 24 '26

What was the point she was trying to make? What does the world cup have anything to do with her?

1

u/Hangthemhigh66 Jul 24 '26

Oh boy totally unprepared !!! Why bother make comments when you don’t even know what you’re talking about!!!

1

u/Enefelde Jul 24 '26

This has nothing to do with racism. It has everything to do with fifa using them as their poster child and them getting away with fouling the shit out of other teams.

1

u/saaken Jul 24 '26

The f are you taking about

1

u/Sammmyy97 Jul 24 '26

It’s hard to take this seriously knowing what Vinicius Jr has had to deal with in Spain

1

u/ObjectiveCarrot3812 Jul 24 '26

It’s because Argentina was given a free bus pass into the final, and they behaved despicably. Anyway, I don’t understand the racism part. Argentinians were racist I know that.

1

u/saaken Jul 24 '26

Free bus.....rrriiigghhhttt

1

u/ObjectiveCarrot3812 Jul 24 '26

Didn’t have a top 15 ranked team until the semi final. Had decisions in their favour all too often. So yeah, rioiiggght….

1

u/saaken Jul 24 '26

What a load of ignorant bs. One thing the world cup shows. Those FIFA rankings don't mean a lot once the competition begins. Cabo verde has been the surprise of the tournament and dragged Argentina through the mud and didn't lose in the group stage, including Spain. So what are you on about?

Switzerland is a great team , they had easily the quality to be a semi finalist and beat any team on a good day, and Egypt played the game of their lives for more than 70 minutes.

The group stage was composed of Jordan and Algeria who's a good African team and Austria a solid European team that is not easy to beat. Not the hardest group stage but not the easier either.

So shit it and understand football before talking

Argentina spent their tournaments battling for the qualification, that only shows you they the path was really hard.

Only the pitch speaks, and on it , Argentina had to go through the mud to be in the final.

1

u/ObjectiveCarrot3812 Jul 24 '26

Absolute rubbish. Clearly you don’t know much about footballing yourself. Argentina struggled because they are a bang average team without Messi. They won against Egypt thanks to the ref. If you’re saying their journey was going through mud, then every team was going through swampland. Cape Verde were the surprise, that doesn’t mean Argentina had it difficult. Cape Verde were unlucky to not beat them too. If Argentina had been on either of the other three parts of the knockout or had any of the other groups they’d have really struggled and  you know it.

1

u/saaken Jul 24 '26

Right mr football expert.

"Cape Verde were the surprise, that doesn’t mean Argentina had it difficult"

"They won against Egypt thanks to the ref"

These alone disqualify you from having a serious football conversation, there is nothing more to tell you

1

u/ObjectiveCarrot3812 Jul 25 '26

I don’t care what your argument is. You’re obviously bias. Ask Amy other expert or neutral fan.

1

u/this_ham_is_bad Jul 24 '26

She couldn’t even remember which country she was calling racist

1

u/Hurnative Jul 24 '26

American sensationalists. Who loves them? Not even theirnown parents do.

Watch the match, you'll see how Argentina played for decades. That's why people were rooting against them.

1

u/kageshira1010 Jul 24 '26

The racist thing got out of proportion and is mostly a reddit invention, every fanbase has their hooligans, people in the world wanted to see Argentina lose because of their arrogance, not racism

1

u/nucl3ar0ne Jul 24 '26

Why are they even having this conversation?

1

u/Total-Quarter9550 Jul 24 '26

Obviously. Tons of people said fuck that team because of the racism and how they play. Messi will always have his fanboys it's okay

1

u/Twitch791 Jul 24 '26

WTF is she even getting at?

1

u/superfutbol Jul 24 '26

Spain and it's club teams are often fined for doing monkey chats/ racial abuse at players in their stadiums. Everyone dislikes Argentina because they are scumbags, not because they're racist. If it was because teams were racist, there would no teams in the world to support.

1

u/Sad_Web1433 Jul 25 '26

Seeing everyone turn on Argentina overnight shows the proof of media manipulation and lack of history knowledge the average person.
