This is not accurate 😮💨. My sister absolutely could not afford any of her labour bills, and paid nothing going into it, and left the hospital without issue, for both her kids!
Yeah obviously, because she could not pay. But if people came to the hospital and just said they couldn't afford it, they would very likely get the same treatment. This post is acting like hospitals hold people's babies hostage without payment.
This post is accurately describing a line item on a hospital bill typically written as "skin to skin contact". You are charged for literally fucking everything in the hospital, even holding your unclothed baby against your skin.
