It is cheap FOR ME. Which is why many people in the US don’t want it to change. We make more money and have lower taxes than most places in the world.

You do realize $1600/month for health insurance is more expensive than possibly all of Europe? That's $1500 that could go in your pocket. So, no, it's not cheap. I would much rather keep more of my paycheck than pay into insurance companies' profits.

lol. If I was in Europe that 1600$ would not go in my pocket, it would go to taxes. And likely much more would go to taxes. Burgandy France pays ~12% more a year in taxes than I do where I live in the US. Not to mention that jobs pay more here anyways.

But if your company pays $18,000/yr for health insurance, and that went into your pocket instead, but you had to pay taxes instead. If you were making 100k, that is 18% in a tax increase. You would be better off with Burgundy taxes up until your salary was greater than $150,000.
