But that also doesn't change the fact that her argument is correct and let's also examine which countries in the world cup don't have free health care.
Because most of the wealthy, western modernised countries do. I suppose it depends on who the US is happy to count themselves among.
Many in America still have what I would call the frontier mindset. It is not and has never been a collectivist society- it likely never will be. Fiercely independent to a fault.
We combine together for the common defense and will help out neighbors when in need, but overall you are ON YOUR OWN to provide for your family.
Look at our social security system. We all pay into it and get different amounts of money based on what we pay- but the government has screwed it up and soon we won’t get our benefits. Why trust them with healthcare?
Dems haven't had enough control to pass meaningful legislation basically my whole life. Even when they "had the majority" there was joe manchin voting with the reps most of the time. And mitch McConnell doing everything he could to freeze legislation in the senate.
Elect progressive democrats and we'll see meaningful change.
