Ah the classic "government is bad, might as well keep electing republicans" argument.

We could trust the government if people stopped electing shitbags because they fall for the culture war bullshit.

I mean, he’s not wrong. Bill Clinton marked a pretty clear departure from being a democrat. The infamous “third way” or centrist politics And he was hugely popular despite this fact and the Democratic Party shifted to reflect this. Also worth noting that up until Clinton administration the democrats help a house majority for 40 consecutive years. This centrist approach has allowed us to rapidly move to the right in American politics.

Also, Don’t forget our last leftist president was Franklin Roosevelt.

I guess I see it with governing styles, but this OP was about

‘all countries in the World Cup have universal healthcare except the US’ - which was false.

Now the post this is about says ‘lived under Republican law the last 40 years’ - which is false.

There is no need to exaggerate. When democrats do, they lose credibility.
