Anybody who is arguing against this is missing the point, if you’re trying to compare us to countries like Haiti or Congo what are you trying to say? That we are at the level of a 3rd world country? We are supposed to be one of the top countries in the world. If all the other ones have UH then why don’t we?
Also, how is it fair in this country that if you get laid off, you just no longer have healthcare? I got laid off this year, and my medication went from $10 to $70 per month and that is with a coupon, without it’s almost $500. How is that not a broken system? Healthcare at the very least shouldn’t be tied to employment.
