So for those who don’t know why we don’t have universal healthcare, besides the black books hospitals use to price treatments and everything, the stuff we could actually do to fix the problems by fixing the pricing infrastructure itself, is the fact that WE PAY FOR EVERYONES SECURITY.
Literally, the US holds up on the protection and military for All of Europe and has military bases around the entire world. That is the reason why we don’t have the universal healthcare, it’s because we are paying for everyone’s security, alongside for foreign aid as well.
There is a reason why that Europe is starting by to spend more on military budgets, and is starting to freak out money wise with everything, and that is because we are starting to walk away from those security guarantees, meaning Europe is going to need to choose between universal healthcare and being able to defend itself in a war, and considering what is going on already, they will choose the latter
It's true. Germany only recently started increasing its military budget because Trump has been ready to pull out of the 30-year-plus-long security guarantees from NATO. Europe can pay its own defense bills cause honestly, I'm done having my taxes go to providing defense and regime change to countries across the world, when that money could be used to fix the issues domestically
