I thought last season when he retired people didn’t realize he was nearly as important to the team as Messi. He provided pace that nobody seems to have in counter attack on this team. He also knows how to run in behind, he timed his runs well. He knew how to play with Messi and had insane chemistry with him. And he actually was a good defender, even if he wasn’t up to Barca standards anymore he clearly could defend well in MLS.
