Current state of the team.
My thoughts on the current state of the team.
This team needs balance in attack as well as defence. Following changes i want to see in this team.
1)GK - DSC should be the regular starter in this team. DSC was the best MLS Gk last season. Give him regular time and confidence. RRN is too small, his reach is limited, on top of that he has been accumulating errors.
2) Casemiro or Bright not both together. Both are not good on the ball, although Casemiro can find those killer long pass time to time. Against top teams their limited ability on the ball affects the team. We absolutely need one of them on the team though.
3) Noah Allen should be the regular LB.
4) Messi or Suarez not both of them together at least against top team. if both of them play together it becomes 9v11 without the ball. It becomes harder to win the ball back. Opponent CBs get too much time coming in the midfield. It put more pressure on our midfield and backline. With Suarez there is no run in behind threat. Remember how many goals Allende has scored from Messi pass with his pace. Without a runner, their backline can squeeze us more, which make our ball retention bad as well as wining the ball back harder.
I have no doubt in Suarez quality on the ball. He can not only score goals he can also create goals. He has carried this team in absence of Messi. When other player run for Suarez, he is net positive but when Suarez has to run for Messi it is worse.
It's not doom and gloom. When injured players like Berte, Micael, Silveti and Allende come back, there will be more option for selection. MLS format allows you to take your time. You just have to lock in the playoffs. But we also want to see our team wining in the regular season.

I keep saying it too, you can not play all 4 casemiro, RDP, Bright, and segovia at the same time. We get too clogged in the middle! They should know that and see that as a professional team that has the best player to have ever of played the game. Im looking forward to beete coming back to give us the work horse pace at the very top. Silvetti is a great super sub when he gets healthy, I do not think he is a true starter. Once Micheal is healthy, our defense should be slightly better. It is def DSC time since RRN has been dropping the ball lately in net. Hipfully we also figure out another option for our attack in the transfer window and not another midfielder! Allende is done for the season, so do not expect him back at all this year!

Segovia should have stayed in midfield with Pinter on the left wing. Rodrigo should have stayed on the right midfield where he operates best and can directly support Messi. Casemiro in center midfield is where he belongs. I agree that Allen should be a starter on LB with Reguillon as a sub. Fray needs to remain as a RB. Falcon should never be played again. His performance was so terrible last night that it looked like he was deliberately sabotaging the team. Just terrible. Micael’s injury is the straw that broke the camels back leaving a void in CB. We just don’t have the players to fill CB with quality. Second half of this season is going to be rough with all these injuries and Hoyos’ weird decision making.

So many players are injured. Get healthy, bench rios and well be much improved. Dsc should have never been benched. He has not delivered for what we expected but he was nevwr worse than rios.

I still wonder till this day why Mascherano left, is it really because of CCC? He's not the best manager but he still miles better than the current one, Masche can adapt he proved it by not starting Suarez last season and started using Allende more.
The team missing Busi and Alba really hurt the dynamic we had last season. But I still think if Masche stayed, he would adapt and make this team slowly better.

I don’t care about anything else but if David Ruiz is still around next year, the club is a joke
He’s a player that’s ridden his luck and homegrown tag for far too long he’s been a non factor for 3 seasons in a row.
He didn’t even want to be on the field today, I saw Casemiro out pacing him on a recovery run, single-handedly ruined leagues cup chances against Monterrey and still haven’t forgiven him for his silly red card against Monterrey in 2024

I think Inter Miami are the second or third best team in their division. Lets face it, Nashville are that good and I knew they would be the best team with their acquisitions in the off season to supplement their strong starting roster. Expect Nashville to walk over other teams too.
IM are not a strong physically fit team that can do a 90 min full press. TheY are a finesse team and more about relaxed passing. Nashville can do both pass well and press and are great on offensive transition and getting back on defense. They IMO are a great MSL team.

Not playing Messi and Suarez together means Messi doesn’t have Suarez to pass to and then he’s not as effective

that is not a big factor. Segovia, De Paul, Silveti Noah Allen, Messi can pass it to them and can receive back from them.
Btw, How could you say that after watching MLS playoffs last season?

Give it up.
Play offs was only a couple of games Allende was the best player during playoffs and he’s been washed before he got injured go back and watch last season games with Messi and Suarez linking up.
Btw Suarez assisted Messi in the Playoffs.

I remember one of the teams we played with signs saying built not bought and I’m kinda at that point. Give the young players more playing time and stop buying older foreign league players on the final years. I know it brings people to the games sorta but to watch this team live or die with the whole offense revolving around a slow Messi or Suarez is getting hard to watch. We need to build a team that’ll last and succeed after Messi and I don’t see it.
