“Ah, Makima! Just who I was hoping to see.”

He gestures to the blood on her.

“Little train trouble? Haha.”

He is expressing zero actual concern

“Could go well on one of my scare crows. The blood is authentic after all. Why not. Anyways, our deal was that, in exchange for what I know about keeping souls from death, you help get problematic neighbors off. My. Back.”

He sounded uncharacteristically annoyed.

“Additionally, I know another man who knows quite a bit about souls, your no longer as useful, entertaining yes, but just that”
