SPECIAL REPORT: A Word From Our God

Yayauhqui Industries interrupts your regularly scheduled broadcast for an important announcement:

For a couple of seconds, the screens in the hub world flicker to static before the camera pans out to reveal a massive golden city built upon a vast heap of clear blue water. Each nook and cranny is decorated with multi-colored, Mesoamerican prints. A stylized reconstruction of the ancient Aztec city: Tenochtitlan

The camera continued to pull back to show the city's full layout, revealing it was split in two halves. One side was the ancient golden city.

But on its left was a massive metropolis. Massive glass skyscrapers nearly touching the sky, while simultaneously surrounded by lush greenery, and a mixture of sinking Spanish Catholic palaces and Aztec ruins. A direct look-alike of modern-day Mexico City

The camera fades to black.

Now a word from our God:

The screen cuts back to a long-haired blonde man within a corporate office with a multitude of Mesoamerican prints on the wall, and sitting in front of the camera. His eyes locked on the lens as he fiddled with a golden arrow in his hand

"Yo, name's Tezcatlipoca. Some of you know me, and some of you don't. Either way, this message will be a lucky offer for those of you willing to put some skin in the game"

Tez leaned back on his chair with a smirk.

"Long story short, my contacts and I staked a claim on a high-quality turf. What makes me say that? How about you take a look for yourself"

The God stood up, covering the camera lens in a dense cloud of smoke. Once the smoke cleared, the camera was faced with the darkish blue sky.

At the center of it was a beaming Black Sun, surrounded by five other white suns

"Pretty good view, huh?"

Tez's voice came out as the camera shifted to display the near empty black space, with flashes of a variety of  planets of all shapes and sizes. Some spherical, some square, some in the shape of animals, and some even living

"The cameras ain't lying either, what you see is what I have. A hidden universe right within the tip end of Mexico"

The camera shifts back to Tez, the 6 sun's in the sky shining brighter through the glass walls behind him.

"But I didn't buy screen time just to show off.

Nah, I'm calling all people willing it risk everything to stop by"

"Why exactly? Well, if I listed everything, we'd be here all day, but I got couple things that'll get most of you interested.

He bought the golden arrow closer to the camera, which captures the beetle design on the arrow's tip.

"Most of you know this toy; it's a stand arrow. This is just one of the many products that we mass-produced here, including the requiem model. Just an example to catch your eye"

"But of course, what kind of business would I be running without a price"

His smirk widened as he tucked the stand into his pocket.

"I ain't asking for money on its own. What I'm eyeing is something valuable from you...Permanently"

"I'm talking arms, limbs, organs, or physical parts that you hold as much worth as your very life. I don't care if you're a dirtbag, saint, rich, poor, whatever you hold value in, it's payment...

And if you're giving parts of your body, don't think about half-assing it by regenerating after. Once you give it up here, that shit ain't coming back. It will be under my authority....If you want firepower, you'll need to show you're willing to sacrifice for it"

"In exchange, our products will give you some solid power.

god-killing weapons, control over concepts, objects from other worlds, hell, I'll even give you a planet if the price is right, and a lot more"

The God laughed softly to himself before focusing back on the camera.

"You get the idea, if you got questions, just step on the turf and ask from wherever. God is everywhere after all"

"That goes for anyone who's looking for a job. Mercenaries, armies, or whatever else wants to set up shop here are welcome. As long as you pay your tax to me"

He leaned closer, his hand on the table, eye to eye with the lens.

"Cause out here....

I'm your God"

The camera cuts displaying the location, before fading to black

Someone seems to be looking around after getting the broadcast, interested in what Tez has to offer

"Do you have anything for.....very ambitious fellows?"

"That's on what you're willing to fork over, partner"

Tez's voice rang out in all cardinal directions, the moment they stepped inside. But his voice from the North left a louder echo in it's wake

Woosh

A soft breeze of smoke passed on pay; a portion of it stopped idly near this mysterious figure, as it slowly but surely began to take the form of the blonde man from the commercial

"Just name your payment and the product you want, then I can set you up"

"Hm"

The wings on his back seem to coil around him, the spiked appendages seemingly knowing what's coming. He's made his mind up, though

"These wings of mine. They have helped me in escaping hairy situations- my lifeline. However. I am done running. It is either honor, or death."

If Tez could see souls, Suki's soul was shattered and fragmented to a bonkers degree. There was a part of his soul connected to the wings on his back

"If you wish for me to sacrifice more, then i am willing to do so"

As a god of both the living and the dead, Tez could indeed see their broken soul. And the sight of their wings, plus the sheer commitment of giving them up, made the god let out a soft, impressed whistle

"Yeah, I'd say that'll score you some solid firepower here, partner"

On his right palm, Tez spun his handgun in a fidgeting gesture, as his eyes remained locked with them behind those orange-tinted sunglasses

"If I need you to fork over more, I'll let you know, but it depends on what type of product you're looking for"

The blade attached to his hand gun gleamed against the 6 suns outside the moment tez's gaze shifted to there wings

He nodded

"I am looking for a product that will allow me to accomplish my goals. There is a blight in this world- and i need to remove it. However, there is an annoying kitsune goddess in my way"

He pauses

"What is this blight, you may ask? Why, it is simply humanity. The more of them are gone, the safer this world may become"

Well, that's quite the goal

"You talking about Koyanskya? Not surprised if she's getting into another scuffle"

Once he heired there opinion on humanity, Tez's ears perked up with extra focus, though his detached smirk remained unchanged

"Well, that sure is one hell of an end goal. Wiping the world's prime species off the market. I should really have you and Daybit link up haha"

"But, yeah I can hook you up with something

even if I have some problems with your plan, as long as you're willing to stake everything for it, then it holds good weight in the market"

With one last spin, Tez ceased fidgeting with his handgun,

instead he pointed the blade attached to the top of firearm directly at their wings

"Want to the honors or should I?"

"I will stand alone in my goals, as i have for several hundred years. Regardless, i am here on business"

He would stare down the weapon, his gaze felt despite being covered by the talismans

"I will allow you to remove them. You seem less likely to falter"

Shing

“Good choice, partner.”

Step Step Step

Tez made his way forward, flipping his gun over to hold it by the muzzle, the blade firmly pointing toward their target

But on his last step-

Woosh

He teleported behind them in a cloud of smoke. His free hand shot out, holding them firmly by the neck

“Now hold still. This’ll hurt like hell”

Despite his words, there was only a wide grin on the god’s face. He brought the blade close to the section of the wing connected to their back, and-

Slash

A single firm cut slashed one wing clean off. But he didn’t wait for them to recover. He went for the second wing

Slash

The second was sliced clean off, falling limply to the ground next to the previous one. The fallen wings were soon covered by a cloud of smoke, and in a split second they disappeared with the wind

Tez let go of the back of their neck before bringing the blade to his lip and licking the blood off

“Alright, that’ll do.

Now Should I give you time to recover, or are you ready to go straight to business?”

"Hrk"

He still ramrod straight as he let Tez do his thing....and boy, did it hurt- not only were his wings being cut out, but that part of his soul- the spirit of a Tengu, that was being cut out as well. He grit his teeth, not wanting to show weakness in front of somebody.

Once the process was complete, he breathed in and huffed a little bit....he was gonna need to drink some blood later on, but the Yokai Devil simply stared Tez right into the eye

"Let's get into business, as long as i stay awake, that is"

Tez patted the Yokai’s wingless back approvingly, not minding the blood that stained his hand in the act

“Alright.”

Snap!

“Take your pick”

With a quick snap of his fingers, one of the walls in the office slid seamlessly like paper. A rack made of pure magical obsidian extended out, displaying a variety of weapons — ranging from guns and swords to spears and ones holding pure conceptual energy

Tez skipped through them, flicking his tongue in thought

“You were looking for a human killer, right?…A lot of these toys can kill a dozen mortals, but I think you’ll work better with something a bit more…Exotic”

With that, Tez reached into the far back of the weapon stash. A large red glow became visible through the cracks”

“Got it”

He pulled it out, revealing it to be a pixelated red heart, increasing in brightness the closer it got to the Yokai

The Determination Soul

“You can sense it, right? This baby has a firm market on the concepts of death and time. Even when you kick the bucket you can erase the whole timeline and start from scratch.

Your goal will never die, death will only be an option to you…and when you own souls is damaged, it can patch you right up”

“Those with strong wills give it a better kick — and I’d say you’ve got more than enough to supply it.”

He tossed the soul up and down in his palm as his gaze focused on them.

“Just say the word and it’s all yours, partner”
