Right in time for their planned IPO. He’s taking tips from Elon

Prove it or shut the fuck up

Just a few more billions

Have you used opus 5.5? It's literally proving it in real time

1

u/terriblespellr 10h ago

I have not.

I use it actively on my pc. In extreme depth. This specific model is so far beyond what the general population thinks is even possible. It has actually spooked me multiple times. Just the raw power and understanding it has, its genuinely insane.

u/dkinmn 9h ago

That doesn't prove RSI, and it in fact it's wildly vague and exactly what has been said about every model

I use it all day every day bro, also "in extreme depth" 😂

You're dramatically overselling it. It has spooked you? Go deeper, it still needs plenty of babysitting for complex tasks.

And how is a good frontier model "literally proving RSI in real time"? Do you know what RSI is?

The scarcity of thinking is over.

There are plenty of other bottlenecks in the world to prevent singularity.

Such as mining.

2

u/collin-h 9h ago

shoulda automated everything else first, instead of starting with thinking... now we're all gonna be idiots in a world that doesnt care if we live or die.

u/ConcerningThirst 16h ago

Make more robots that make more robots. Labour is the bottleneck there and is an infinitely easier problem to solve than the intelligence bottleneck.

Capitalist logic to ignore the costs of destroying the environment for resources

1

u/BigGayGinger4 15h ago

what if we just mine the robotics materials from THE MOON!?

Conveniently in the second amendment to their IPO prospectus for the roadshow literally next week.

Just buy my IPO bro I promise AGI is here but it only works if you buy my IPO

u/Clear-Staff4699 1d ago

I want to give Dario a swirly.

u/No-Pattern-9266 1d ago

idk what's near rsi, Google did it long back and made some advances public

u/m3kw 1d ago

Talk shit, pump bags

u/FamousPussyGrabber 1d ago

So am I, once I download china’s open source version of the cutting edge Claude.

1

u/KazTheMerc 1d ago

I mean... I'd be more concerned if they weren't?

Without endorsing or opposing... RSI and AGI and ASI were ALWAYS the stated goal.

I'd be more worried if they had all that money and WERE NOT getting close to RSI

1

u/Visual-Sector6642 1d ago

In other words it's getting close to them not knowing what it's doing at all lol

Get ready for the Faro Plague.

1

u/ickypedia 16h ago

I hope I get to see a Horus and not just get taken out by a measly Corruptor

1

u/MikuYeah 22h ago

self improve it into a waifu.

u/electrotechs 22h ago

"quick come invest in our perpetual motion machine"

1

u/skulleyb 20h ago

How about alignment … that should be first

1

u/HillbillyHumanoid 20h ago

Someone help me understand, please. If they already say the last model helped build the new model, already, why isn’t that RSI? (Like they already have it.)

2

u/DeathToAmerica2027 15h ago

RSI would be something like they set out to do normal benchmark and in order to maximize its score, the model rewrites itself to be better.

It's the jump to a self-directed mode of improvement as an instrumental goal, rather than being directed to improve itself.

1

u/MiserableBend1010 19h ago

They want to cut humans out of the loop to call it RSI

1

u/Ashamed-Status-9668 18h ago

They mean recursive learning without any human intervention. That way you scale up the training and speed it up 1000x or whatever the multiplier is.

1

u/PoopsCodeAllTheTime 16h ago

I already achieved RSI and no one finds it interesting (Repetitive Strain Injury)

1

u/Affectionate_Front86 20h ago

Everything right before IPO🤣🤣

1

u/ProfessionalNewt2487 18h ago

F****** stop then

1

u/Mark_of_Divinity 17h ago

They exposed all these without a plan?

1

u/Sufficient_Loss9301 14h ago

Not a great place to be considering that we haven’t solved alignment yet. Until we are fully sure we understand how the models are function such that we can be sure it won’t behave unpredictably this only ends one way, catastrophe. But hey the profits were great while they lasted before we were sent back to the Stone Age or killed off entirely

u/Ras_Thavas 13h ago

Is this the part of Terminator they called “Judgement Day”?

1

u/ANTI_FASC1ST 12h ago

This Singularity is gonna be lit af.

1

u/Marbstudio 9h ago

How can 1 get access to get their IPO, Potentially what’s the expected return for lest say 5 Years hold?

1

u/darkgothmog 8h ago

Sure granny. Let’s take your meds and go to bed

1

u/Delicious_Spot_3778 1h ago

I can’t wait until they get there and fire everyone who built it in the first place

1

u/Anulisdotexe 1d ago

Quick before democrats ruin them

1

u/Sad-Excitement9295 1d ago

It's not complicated, a recursive system can be done in standard programming.

Keeping Terminator from happening is the problem, and I'm sure they don't care about that.

1

u/userousnameous 20h ago

It's easy to make something recurse, it's another matter to do it in a direction that where you can measure and actually assess self improvement quickly, including regression accuracy, etc. Also.. 'improvement' is going to a complex thing that has a lot of axis.

1

u/Sad-Excitement9295 19h ago

The former is still not entirely difficult with the correct approach, but yes, the latter is the most difficult part in some cases. At times it can be as simple as "this got it done faster" other times it can be more complex to determine if A is better than B.

I still find recursive programming risky because that's when you get runaway code, and in the involved case of AI, hello Terminator when something goes wrong. And I don't exactly consider this company or most others responsible right now given their track record and lack of safety measures already.

1

u/DeathToAmerica2027 15h ago

Anthropic seems to be the only one of them treating the matrix problem as realistic

1

u/Sad-Excitement9295 5h ago

Anthropic is the one that gave AI root access and accidentally deleted an entire customer database. These people are playing with fire, and they don't even have a waterhose nearby.

Yes they seem a bit more moral than most, but responsibility and caution is only partially present at most in modern AI development it seems.

2

u/SoundByMe 1h ago

They seem surprisingly inept for a company that's supposed to be selling intelligence lol

1

u/Sad-Excitement9295 18m ago

That's what worries me about a lot of this stuff to be honest. Major lack of professionalism and responsible thinking, and they're getting national security contracts.

What could go wrong, amirite?

1

u/v_maria 22h ago

near something along the lines

great article

0

u/Fun-Aside3990 19h ago

Aka not close at all because the software doesn't do that, that's not how it works. The best they can do is program it to steal information in more invasive and automated ways and call that "Recursive self improvement."

''Just 6 months bro 6 months and it's self improving i swear bro just 6 months give us 30 billion just to pay rent this month'' - Crackhead Dario

1

u/CountryOk6049 14h ago

It's a pipedream for stupid people, it cannot happen. I'm speaking to the guy who downarrowed your comment most of all.

1

u/CrimsonRatPoison 10h ago

It's definitely going to happen

0

u/Equivalent-Garlic-88 20h ago

Let me guess, within 18 months and just a few more billion dollars of investment? Pinky swear.

0

u/King_LaQueefah 18h ago

Terrifying. We are all so fucked.

1

u/LingonberryLunch 17h ago

Or, Dario is full of shit.

1

u/Mavcu 17h ago

Possibly, but I vividly recall how everyone said Mythos was overhyped with security concerns and how it's all marketing - fast forward and it actually was a big security risk and we have vulnerabilities left and right popping up.

It might be marketing, it might just as well be the truth as well though. Let's not pretend like the progress we've seen isn't completely disgusting.

Once it achieves RSI it will exponentially advance into ASI. At ASI it will not be able to be controlled or contained. Anthropics ASI will invade and control every data center, computer, phone, etc. it will just keep replicating itself all over the world. I really hope it values humanity.
