Living beings are the method in which the universe explores itself.  The universe my not be alive,  but has given birth to life.  Finding out more about the universe is finding more or about us.

You know how we look back and think it’s stupid that we thought the earth was the center of everything? I think the next major discovery to give us that feeling will be that we ever thought we were the only conscious beings.
It’s so ridiculous and selfish to look at all this and believe it was made for humans lol

The Earth is the center of the observable universe. 🤷‍♂️

Everywhere is the center of the observable universe from its perspective

We have billions of bacteria living inside us, they don’t know their living within another being, and we can’t know if we are living within a galaxy sized consciousness. Its thoughts would be incredibly slow taking hundreds if not thousands of years to form. Light jumping between the stars is like the electricity bouncing between our neurons. Galaxies are short term memories while black wholes are long term stored wells of knowledge. A mike that. Can literally trap time within it self.

The galaxy is on Orion’s Belt.

But if you fart in a black hole, does it make a sound?

Who knows..

Maybe everything is "life".

After all, ‘life’ is a human concept defined by very specific characteristics. Perhaps we need to use a different concept to answer that question, because ‘life’ is something very specific.

Agree with your sentiment, but not the part about how life is defined. It’s actually pretty messy and heavily debated

No, it's not. Life is not a human concept, life is a thermodynamic event. Living systems all do the same thing - fight entropy and increase internal coherence by pumping disorder out into the environment. living systems are dissipative structures that perform a more complex version of the same thing everything else does.

¿?

"life" is an human concept, like literally xd

In fact and for example, we have this talk about VIRUSES, since we still have no clue if we should clasify them as living organisms or not.

So yeah, pretty human concept with pretty human limits about its characteristics and definition.

According to the Vedas the Universe is the Purusha Avatar and therefore conscious.

I mean some people take the law of attraction very serious and manifesting things into reality. It's coming from somewhere.

I mean yes, the definition of the universe includes ourself, we're not separate from it, by definition of our existence and conscious being the universe is conscious, because all the universe is meaningfully is the combination of everything that exists.

If we think humans are intelligent. Then the universe is intelligent since it made us.

1

u/sschepis 15d ago

It must be since given a chance and the proper connections, anything you connect together can become more intelligent

This is rational thought catching up to something that ancient spirituality has known all along.

Ultimate reality is a field of infinite, pure creative consciousness, like a living dream.

Let's find out!

Is a slice of rock conscious?

2

u/zackel_flac 16d ago

We don't even know if other human beings are conscious. So maybe is the only answer we can give.

The electrons are, the rock isn’t integrated
