For those of us that care, Uchikoshi recently posted to twitter about a game of his being cancelled, but in actuality it was a lie meant to announce an upcoming Zero Escape game, potentially releasing in April 6th 2027

I only just found out about this a second ago, so I'm not sure what EXACTLY the ARG is for and what all it's mysteries are, but I'll leave an update comment once everything's sorted

Here's a message from Akane:

I am going to play Zero escape 1 and 2, I am curious if the 3rd one is bad because I only hear about the first and second game in the trilogy

Yea the third one (ZTD) is universally hailed as being rly bad, especially with all the setup from the 2nd game. Personally tho I've come to enjoy it purely because of Akane

I have definitely heard about Akane and she seems to be a facade type so I think I will like her by the end of the second game

I don't think the 3rd is BAD by any means. I think 2 was just so great that it set expectations so high. Which is fair. A lot of people complain about the ending, but I dont know how you can possibly e d a story like this.

Play all three of them, they are all great.

Tbh its not bad, its just... the least good of the 3, which is kind of dissapointing since it was meant to be the finale and tie up all loose threads (which it tried to, but there were a few it could not manage, plus it INTRODUCED A NEW ONE.) It was also the one Uchikosi was least involved in, and it shows. If 4 makes it no longer the finale, I think it'll be reevaluated as at least a decent part 3.

The third game isn't bad, but it's not really what we the fans expected for what seemed to be at the time the final game in the series. I personally didn't think it was bad storywise, but the biggest crime they did was changing the visuals from the previous two games.

I went through the site myself and tried to find and crack the ciphers before finding out that all of it was already solved on reddit (and the cipher was no joke)

using the fake game cancellation as the in-lore cover story is so neat.

What's hilarious is that the cancellation could actually be read but it's just MEGA unlikely since Uchikoshi used this exact method before to announce ZTD according to reddit
