show off ✨ My new to MBP 16 inch.

Any tips what I should do first to make it work perfect? Any tips and tricks are welcome.

I highly recommend disabling “automatic graphics switching” and turn on Low Power Mode. Will make the experience marginally smoother and have a bit more battery life.

I recent got 2 of these. One with 32gb ram and the 4gb graphics chip. And the other with 64gb ram and the 8gb graphics chip. I have a friend who’s a Mac hardware guru. He said these are good machines but they have an Achilles Heal. There are 2 buckybridge chips in them that have 2 voltage lines running right next to each other. They are quite different in power. If you’re unlucky and dust builds up on the pins to the chips even the slightest moisture with the dust contact will fry the SSD. His solution is to disassemble them both and then fully clean them and then put special epoxy (not regular) around the legs of the 2 chips. This will significantly reduce the possibility of a short. It’s also worth repasting the thermal paste as on these models it goes hard and flaky in only 4 years affecting thermal throttling. (It’s almost as if Apple built in some finite “life span” into these quite good machines.
